A change at the Guild office

Administrative officer Yoko Kuramoto-Eidsmoe has accepted a job as a staff rep at PTE Local 17. Her last day as administrative officer of the Pacific Northwest Newspaper Guild will be on May 25. Local president Darryl Sclater will start a leave from his job at The Seattle Times on June 10 (he will be handling AO duties along with his full-time Times position in the period between Kuramoto-Eidsmoe's departure and the beginning of his leave).

The executive board will be meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, to make a recommendation on how the local should proceed in filling the administrative-officer position. If you would like to discuss this, please get in touch with an executive-board officer. Members are also welcome to attend all board meetings.

On June 13, the executive board will present a recommendation at the general membership meeting (7 p.m.), and members will have the opportunity to discuss and vote on the board's recommendation.

In solidarity, Darryl Sclater, President Ralph Erickson, Vice President Steve Miletich, Treasurer Rob Davila, Secretary
